Flats and Accommodation
Bespoke and individual supported living flats in a former Old Rectory, Your Life Your Home provides beautiful accommodation to suit a range of needs.
Formerly a residential care home for over 36-years, the property was a little tired and in need of some serious TLC! So, changing our provision to Supported Independent Living with Care, our team set about doing a full make over. Our mantra has always been: "if it's not good enough for us, it's not good enough for our clients".
The resulting accommodation has provided unique private living space for clients.
Featuring fully-fitted kitchens and tiled bathrooms with shower or wet room, each individual flat also includes:
-
Washing machine
-
Built in wardrobes and shelving
-
TV and Sky points in sitting room and bedroom
-
Emergency call points
-
Fire alarm
-
Smoke alarm
-
Lift in the building
-
Emergency call points in both the bathroom and bedroom.
Security in mind
A brand new and updated overt security system provides reassurance to clients that their safety and security is paramount. Please note that the cameras are only in communal areas, never in clients' private accommodation.
A warm welcome
At the entrance to the building is Reception, manned 24x7, and responsible for welcoming visitors, receiving post and parcels, and alerting clients to callers. Pigeon holes for every flat enable mail to be stored safely for when a client is either ready to collect, or for their Support Worker to deliver. It is also here that the emergency call points and security cameras are also monitored.
Communal spaces
We're very mindful that loneliness can be extremely detrimental to an individual's mental health and wellbeing. So with this at the forefront, we have maintained our light and airy communal spaces, giving clients somewhere to meet with their friends and neighbours for a chat, to watch tv on the large television or a quick game of snooker.
The Conservatory also plays host to Sunday lunches, the weekly Takeaway and Film night, parties or other celebrations. It is an area easily accessible and open at all times, meaning clients can always find company if they so choose. Take a look at our monthly What's On calendar to see more of the type of activities we host.
"Pop's Bar" has been a focus for clients since the days of The Old Rectory residential home. Serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, it's open every Sunday, but on request can be open at any other times.
